I had the pleasure of tagging along with Ian Ruhter for a day in Los Angeles as he started the long journey for his "Silver & Light" project. He managed to turn a truck into one giant wet plate camera in hopes of driving it around America shooting the people & landscapes he comes across. The summer of 2010 I took a job in Southern California. I had to drive from Vermont to Newport Beach, CA so that I could have a car while I was there. I did the drive in 3 days... by myself, had to put in about 15 hours of driving a day. I filmed the whole thing to keep myself entertained, and this it the result. Filmed on a Canon G9.
